Dr Charles Burney (1726 – 1814) was a principal figure in the cultural life of Georgian England who spent some of his formative years in King’s Lynn. He was organist, composer, traveller, musicologist and impresario. The Turners brought Burney to the town as organist at St Margaret’s Priory Church in 1751. In 1752 his equally famous novelist daughter, Frances (Fanny), was born in Chapel Street. On this walk discover the particular places and people associated with the Burney family and end the walk at King’s Lynn Minster. The walk starts outside St Nicholas' Chapel. Part of King's Lynn Festivals Early Music Weekend.

The walk begins outside St Nicholas' Chapel, St Ann's Street, PE30 1NH.
