Lynda Donaldson, Senior Research Officer monitoring black-tailed godwits - Lynda will be around the hides and visitor centre showing how she monitors the godwits and available for any questions.

Katherine McMahon - Back from the Brink poet - will be poet in residence on the Sunday, facilitating drop-in workshops throughout the day. Visitors will be able to take home creations as well as contributing creative ideas for a larger piece of artwork which will be completed by Katherine and launched in July/August.

By Road:
WWT Welney Wetland Centre is 12 miles north of Ely, 26 miles north of Cambridge and 33 miles east of Peterborough. It is 2 miles south of Welney village - turning off the A1101 at the New Bedford Suspension Bridge, signed Ten Mile Bank. Occasionally the A1101 is flooded between Welney village and the Suspension Bridge - and is closed to cars. Under such circumstances, access to WWT Welney Wetland Centre is always possible from Ely or Downham Market, off the A10.
