Diva Opera: Cosi Fan Tutte at Holkham Hall

Summer opera is not complete without a delightful picnic and you are invited to bring your own packed basket of goodies to enjoy on hall’s terrace during the interval.

Guglielmo and Ferrando, confident of the faithfulness of their girlfriends Fiordiligi and Dorabella, are challenged by the cynical Don Alfonso to put the constancy of their betrothed to the test. When the young men disguise themselves as strangers and declare their love for the sisters they are shocked at the outcome. The ensuing confusion, deliberately aided by the maid Despina, results in one of Mozart’s most delightful and popular comic operas.

The Details

The main gates will open from 5.30pm and parking will be available in front of Holkham Hall. The gate to the West Terrace will be open from 5.30pm if you’d like to set up your picnic table. You will need to bring your own picnics, rug or tables and chairs with you. If the weather is bad, an indoor venue will be available for picnics. Doors will open at 6pm and the performance starts at 7pm. The performance will last for around 3 hours, with a 1 hour interval for picnics. Dress code is smart or black tie.
