Details

The 68th annual King's Lynn Festival of music and the arts will feature top artists from the classical, jazz and folk music worlds, plus talks, exhibitions and films.

For the first time for many years King’s Lynn Festival will open and close with concerts by international orchestras – the Halle and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

“It is the mark of a major festival that this year the Lynn Festival programme will be framed by orchestras with an international reputation,” said artistic director Ambrose Miller.

The Halle Orchestra has close links with Lynn having visited regularly throughout the festival’s 68-year history. This year’s opening concert on July 15th will be conducted by Stephen Bell and include music by Bernstein, Copland, Vaughan Williams and Walton plus Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue featuring outstanding young pianist Joseph Moog.
