Details
Classical Musical Rocks (CMR) is a charity that brings world class musicians into West Norfolk Schools to inspire and entertain young people.
In February and March 2021, CMR are producing a series of six Sunday afternoon Chamber Music Concerts played to a socially distanced audience at Hunstanton’s Princess Theatre.
Rebecca Hepplewhite performs internationally as a cellist and has given recitals throughout Europe, the USA, Asia and South Africa, with notable chamber and solo engagements including appearances at the Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall and Purcell Room. A strong advocate of new music she has commissioned and premiered many new works, both with the Svyati Duo and with other ensembles. She is cellist with several other established chamber ensembles, including the award-winning Nephele Ensemble, Chamber Music Company and Pomegranate Piano Trio. As a soloist she is regularly invited to play many of the major cello concerto works throughout the UK and abroad, with recent engagements including performances of the Saint-Saens and Elgar Concertos.
The concert lasts approximately 1 hour with no interval. Tickets are available now, limited to 100 seats due to social distancing. Visit Princess Theatre’s box office to book or for more details: www.princesshunstanton.co.uk/.
CMR is run by the truly inspirational Peter Barker, who is hoping to bring a performance to the Guildhall next Autumn in partnership with SGT. You can read more about CMR on their website: Classical Music Rocks - West Norfolk (cmrschoolswestnorfolk.com).
