Details

Held annually around the end of May Bank Holiday weekend, this is a week-long series of events, with the main Festival Carnival Parade and arena events on the Howdale being held on the Bank Holiday itself.

The festival promises a week of music, food and entertainment including the traditional Howdale Parade Day (which progresses through the town centre before arriving at the Howdale). Now over half a mile long, the parade is often led by a fantastic band – loudly leading the procession of floats, decorated vehicles and walking entries.
