Celebrate The Fens Day at Downham Market

Celebrate The Fens Day aims to showcase all the unique landscapes, heritage, nature, and beauty of the Fens through events and activities.

There are heaps of organisations, charities, and groups getting involved by providing a variety of ‘fentastic’ events and activities all over the fens, including heritage open days, guided walks/tours, craft events, exhibitions, nature trails, music, films, poetry, talks, and competitions.
Confirmed events include:


Saturday 19th June - Wisbech Castle Gardens Open Day at Nettleswell, Wisbech, CM20 3HR.
Sunday 20th June - Crowland Abbey Open Day at 46 East Street, Crowland, Peterborough, PE6 0EN.

If you are doing your own event or activity, it must feature the Fens. Examples include having a picnic in the Fens, going camping, rambling, blogging about your favourite Fen place, do a self-tour of a local town, visiting a local nature reserve, painting outside, and more. Please do your activity safely and within current Covid restrictions and use the hashtag #CelebrateTheFens in your social media.
