By Public Transport:
Trains:
We would recommend arriving at Kings Lynn by train, on the service run by First Capital Connect (approximately 1hr and 40mins direct from London Kings Cross), and then cycling or catching a local bus to Burnham Deepdale. Bicycles are allowed on the train and you can use Network Railcards to reduce the cost of travel by 1/3.
National Coaches:
We would recommend arriving at King's Lynn bus station on a National Express bus service and then cycling or catching a local bus to Burnham Deepdale. Some national coaches allow bicycles by prior arrangement, check before you book your tickets.
Local Buses:
The usual bus service to Burnham Deepdale and Deepdale Farm is the Coast Hopper bus service run by Norfolk Green, which runs along the coast and stops right outside our front door. It's a fantastic service for those staying as you can visit almost anywhere on the coast using the bus.
The Coast Hopper service runs from Hunstanton to Sheringham, often from King's Lynn and Cromer too, which links up with the trains from Norwich to Sheringham and the trains from London to King's Lynn.
Note: CoastHopper buses continue to run in the Winter, every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day. Buses run at hourly intervals between Hunstanton and Sheringham (except Sunday), rather than two-hourly as in previous Winter months. On Sundays the two hourly frequency remains. This makes the bus a very flexible option to go to the start or to return from a walk.
Cycling:
National Cycle Route Number One passes two miles inland of Deepdale Farm. This forms part of the North Sea Cycle Route and the national network of cycle routes. A new Norfolk Coast Cycle Route has just been launched. We allow you to bring your bike on the train, so why not catch the train to King's Lynn and then cycle onto us.
Walking:
The Norfolk Coastal Path stretches from Hunstanton to Cromer and passes through Burnham Deepdale, just 200 yards from Deepdale Farm. Peddars Way is not far away and links with the Norfolk Coast Path.
By Road:
Driving:
If you are coming from London then we suggest you take the M11, then the A11, turning off to Swaffham. This is usually much quicker that the A10.
If you are coming from the Midlands head to King's Lynn and either take the A149 coast road or A148 and turn off at Hillington to Bircham.
Flying:
Our nearest airport is Norwich. flybe fly into Norwich from destinations across the UK and Europe, including Paris, Exeter and Edinburgh. KLM fly into Norwich from around the world via Schipol Airport, Amsterdam.
For the major London airports, Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton, there is a coach service to Norwich run by National Express.
There is a good train service from Stansted Airport which connects with trains to King's Lynn.
